The Holy Family Catholic Regional Division (HFCRD) Board of Trustees invites all students, staff and supporters of Catholic Education to wear blue on World Catholic Education Day on Thursday May 10th. This special day, which annually comes 40 days after Easter Sunday, is a worldwide celebration of the gift of Catholic education.
“We are also challenging all Catholic school divisions across Alberta to join us by wearing blue on World Catholic Education Day on May 10th,” said Board Chair Kelly Whalen. “By wearing blue, we are raising awareness that Catholic schools are needed in this province. By wearing blue, we are saying we want to keep prayer in the classroom. By wearing blue, we are saying yes to Christ.”
On May 10th, supporters are invited to wear blue to show their support and to post a photo on social media with the hashtag #BlueforCatholicEd. Supporters are also invited to RSVP and share the Facebook event (click here). World Catholic Education Day is a time for us all to feel blessed that our children get to grow up in an environment guided by Catholic values. HFCRD thanks all students, staff and school communities for showing their support by wearing #BlueforCatholicEd!
