In 1989, Joanne Boutet drove from Calgary to Peace River for a year-long teaching contract. She stayed. She has won no awards and is not getting her masters. She is really just an average Jo, (known as “Auntie Jo”, and increasingly “Mama Jo”, to her students).  Joanne’s “Ultra Curriculum” teaches about our divine origins, and the immense impact that each of us has upon the world.

Adriana Creelman graduated high school from J.A Williams in Lac La Biche and went on to the University of Lethbridge for five years where she gained her Bachelors of Fine Arts and her Bachelors of Education. In 2002 she received her teaching job, here at Glenmary, straight out of university and has been here ever since.

Donna graduated from the University of Calgary with a Bachelor of Education, and later with a Master’s Degree in Educational Administration.  Her experience over the past 27 years includes teaching in Africa and in the Northwest Territories as well as Alberta.  She has worked at Glenmary School since September 2003 as Learning Support Coordinator, and junior high teacher.

Born and raised in Peace River, I graduated from the Francophone School, Ecole Heritage in 2000. Since graduating with my BEd from University of Alberta (Campus St-Jean), I have taught Jr. and High School in Jasper and now Jr. high at Glenmary. I also enjoy coaching and so presently coach the Golf team, Jr A. Basketball and track and field.

Lauri graduated from Glenmary in 1988 and then attended Concordia College in Edmonton for 2 years before transferring to the U of A where she completed her Bachelor of Education Degree in April 1993.  She began subbing in Peace River in 1993 and then was hired on at Glenmary in September of 1994.

Brad graduated from the University of Alberta with a combined Phys. Ed/Education degree.  He majored in Coaching and minored in Special Education.  Brad started at Glenmary in 1994.  He coaches Jr. Girls Volleyball, Sr. Girls Basketball, Jr. High Badminton and is the Sr. High Learning Support Team Coordinator and Glenmary's Athletic Director.

Mrs. Linley graduated from the University of British Columbia.  Her major is Physical Education and her two minors are English and History/Social Studies.  Mrs. Linley moved from Cloverdale, B.C. to the town of Peace River in 1995 with her husband and two sons.  Michael graduated from Glenmary in 2010, and Sean will graduate in 2012.

Yearbook Advisor

Cathy graduated from high school in Coronation Alberta in 1981 then went to Camrose Lutheran College and graduated from the University of Alberta in 1985.  She obtained a Bachelor of Education degree with a major in general science and minor in math.  After teaching at her old high school in Coronation and traveling to Europe, she started working at Glenmary in 1990.  Cathy has been nominated twice for “Excellence in Teaching” awards and helped develop resources for the new Physics 20/30 curriculum.  Cathy volunteers at Our Lady of Peace parish and with Scouts Canada.  She has been married to Alban MacAdam since 1997 and has 3 sons.

Julia graduated from Archbishop Jordan Catholic High School in Sherwood Park, AB in 2002. She then did her studies at the Faculté Saint-Jean and graduated with a B Ed Secondaire, majoring in French and with a minor in Études Sociales in April 2006. She has been working at Glenmary since September 2006.

Patrick began his post-secondary education at Grant MacEwan College before transferring to the University of Alberta.  He graduated in 2002 with a Bachelor in Education with a major in History and a minor in French. He has taught Social Studies in both French and English languages at Glenmary since 2003. Besides his hectic schedule, Patrick is a member of the Spiritual Formation Team, coaches Jr. A Boys Basketball and Sr. Badminton.

Dan Moffet graduated from the University of Alberta (Campus Saint-Jean) in 2002, with a bachelors of Science and Bachelors of Education degree. He has worked in Alberta, British Columbia and most recently in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. He started teaching at Glenmary in the Fall of 2006.

Spencer graduated from the University of Lethbridge in 2004 with a B.Sc. in Mathematics, and a B.Ed in Mathematics. He has taught math, science, and construction at Glenmary since September of 2004. Outside of teaching,  he is involved with the grad ceremonies. He has been seconded by the Northwest Regional Learning Consortia for 25% of his day and is working in the field of assessment.

Ashley Surette Graduated Highschool from R.F. Staples in 2004, and headed straight to University. There she completed a BSc Specialization Psychology with the dream of becoming a student counselor. During this degree she found a professor who told her that she would be able to help more students as a teacher then she would be able to as a counselor. And the next day she signed up for the Education after degree program. After doing her practicum here at Glenmary she fought to stay, and was hired that spring.

Tom earned his education degree from the University of Alberta with a major in drama and a minor in English language arts.  Though he substituted for two years near Edmonton, this is his first year teaching full-time, and he’s ecstatic to have been hired to work for so prestigious and successful a school.  When he’s not changing lives in class, he’s co-founding Cabinet Theatrics, Glenmary’s new glee club!

Sherry began working at Glenmary School in the fall of 2003.  This year she is the First Nations, Métis and Inuit Coordinator (3/4 time)and the Healthy Minds and Healthy Bodies Coordinator (one quarter time).

Karen Dumas-Wilson graduated from Glenmary in 1983 and was employed at Glenmary in 1995. In 1997, while still working at Glenmary School Karen enrolled at the University of Calgary night classes to obtain Teacher Assistant Certificate in 1999.  She has been working at Glenmary as a Certificated Teacher Assistant since the fall of 1999.

Sue is a Saskatchewan girl that has been in Alberta for 16 years. Sue started as a teacher assistant at Good Shepherd and spent 7 years there. After a brief rendezvous in the medical field, she realized her heart was in the school system, so Sue joined the staff at Glenmary in September of 2008.
