Ms. Lawrance was born and raised in Chilliwack,
B.C. She have a Bachelor of Arts, with a major in history and a
minor in English, and Bachelor of Education, with a major in Social
Studies and a concentration in English from the University of
British Columbia. She has recently completed her Master of
Educational Studies at the University of Alberta. Ms. Lawrance
was a teacher-on-call in Chilliwack and Maple Ridge, before taking
her first teaching job in Manning. She taught at St. Andrew’s in
High Prairie for seven years. She was the Junior-Senior
Vice-Principal of St. Andrew’s before coming to Glenmary. |

Mr. Atkinson began his drama endeavors as a child going to rehearsals with his parents. He graduated from the Musical theater program at Grant MacEwan in 1994 and then proceeded into the education program at the University of Alberta where he finally earned the old sheepskin in 1999. He has been a resident of Peace River since 2000 when after a lengthy Tim Hortons interview he was offered a job at Glenmary.

In 1989, Joanne Boutet drove from Calgary to Peace River for a year-long teaching contract. She stayed. She has won no awards and is not getting her masters. She is really just an average Jo, (known as “Auntie Jo”, and increasingly “Mama Jo”, to her students). Joanne’s “Ultra Curriculum” teaches about our divine origins, and the immense impact that each of us has upon the world. |

Her experience over the past 27 years includes teaching in Africa and in the Northwest Territories as well as Alberta. She has worked at Glenmary School since September 2003 as Learning Support Coordinator, and junior high teacher. |

Jace graduated from the University of Alberta in 2006 with a Bachelor of Education/Physical Education degree with a minor in Social Studies. He started his teaching career instructing violent high risk youth in 2006, the Physical Education Coordinator at Rimbey Jr/Sr High School in 2007 and now has moved on to teaching at Glenmary in 2008 where he is teaching Phys. Ed. 7/8/9, Active Living 7/8/9, Healthy Life Styles 7 and Social 8. As well as earning an education degree Jace has also been a very busy coach at all levels. Through out university he was busy coaching with the Red Deer College Queens Volleyball team, NAIT Men’s Volleyball team, Queens Volleyball Club, FOG Volleyball Club and created the Amazons Volleyball Club in 2007. This year he is coaching the Sr. Boys Volleyball team and Track and Field at Glenmary. |

Darren began teaching at Glenmary in 2001. |

Before he headed to University to become a teacher, Jordan entered the work force and worked on the rigs for two years. He found out that through hard work and determination one can accomplish anything. This is Jordan’s second stint here at Glenmary School. He completed his teacher mentorship here and after two years away teaching up in Manning at Rosary School, he has found his way back to Glenmary. |

Cathy graduated from high school in Coronation Alberta in 1981 then went to Camrose Lutheran College and graduated from the University of Alberta in 1985. She obtained a Bachelor of Education degree with a major in general science and minor in math. After teaching at her old high school in Coronation and traveling to Europe, she started working at Glenmary in 1990. Cathy has been nominated twice for “Excellence in Teaching” awards and helped develop resources for the new Physics 20/30 curriculum. Cathy volunteers at Our Lady of Peace parish and with Scouts Canada. She has been married to Alban MacAdam since 1997 and has 3 sons. |

He graduated from Memorial University in St. John’s NL with a BSc in May of 2005. In August of 2007 he finished his second degree, a BEd which he also obtained at Memorial University. After his wife was recruited to work with Peace Country Health cooperation Mr. Pittman obtained an interview with Glenmary administration. He was offered a position here at the school in which he gladly accepted. Teaching a mix of course his main area is in Science. Mr. Pittman is also teaching Jr. High Drama he is excited about this and brings 10yrs of experience to the classroom. He also helps as the assistant coach of the Sr. High Volley Ball Team. Mr. Pittman is very excited to be here teaching at Glenmary and to be living in this beautiful town of Peace River! |

Ashley Surette Graduated Highschool from R.F. Staples
in 2004, and headed straight to University. There she completed a BSc
Specialization Psychology with the dream of becoming a student
counselor. During this degree she found a professor who told her that
she would be able to help more students as a teacher then she would be
able to as a counselor. And the next day she signed up for the Education
after degree program. After doing her practicum here at Glenmary she
fought to stay, and was hired that spring. |

Barb has been teaching physical education, social studies, English and religion here at Glenmary to Jr. High students since that time. She became the school's Assistant Principal in 2004. |
