The Goals of the F.N.M.I. program

at Glenmary School are:

 

1. Quality Learning Opportunities for All

  1. Reduce barriers that may prevent First Nation Métis and Inuit learners from high quality learning.

  2. Recognize the value of indigenous knowledge.

  3. Foster a greater appreciation and understanding of First Nation, Métis and Inuit people

2. Excellence in Learner Achievement

  1. Increase the attendance, retention and graduation rate of our First Nation Métis and Inuit students.

  2. First Nation, Métis and Inuit learners demonstrate high standards.

  3. First Nation, Métis and Inuit learners are well prepared for lifelong learning.

3. Learners are well prepared for participation in post secondary studies and the labor market.

 

4. Effective working relationships

  1. To increase the involvement of First Nation Métis and Inuit families at Glenmary School.

  2. Respect the role of Elders and community resource people and welcome them to Glenmary School and develop meaningful relationships.
