As a continuation of the church’s World Youth Day theme, we have adopted the theme “Receive the Power” for the 2008-2009 school year. God said “You will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you will be my witness”. (Acts 1:8) This scripture statement highlights teachings from our faith tradition and is the foundation of our theme this year at Glenmary. It is a strong proclamation of our faith as a way to support Catholic initiatives and our call to build strong learning communities of faith. The Spiritual Formation Team meets once a month to organize and support school events and groups with a spiritual component. This talented and dedicated group of teachers and parish members offers spiritual leadership to Glenmary’s students and staff. |
