Virtual Education

ö Establishment of Holy Family CyberHigh School - Grade 7 to 9.

First Nation, Metis and Inuit Education

ö Full-time Aboriginal Education Liaison Worker who offers a wide

       range of cultural activities in the school.  She also assists with some

       Aboriginal special education students.  She brings in

       presentations from other Aboriginal people to enrich our students.

ö Cooperate with the Aboriginal Resource Centre to promote events

       and cultural exhibits.

Early Intervention

ö Worker provides violence prevention programs (2nd step) in

        classrooms.  Preventative and informative workshops for parents.

Early Literacy

ö A 0.4 Certified Teacher who works with a small group of students

       following a modified reading program.

ö Program to develop or improve language learning in students that

        have poor attendance, developmental delays, behavioral difficulties

        in classroom settings or require addition support.

ö A project operates to provide additional support to ECS to Grade 2

        students in the area of Early Literacy.  Funded through Early

        Literacy and ECS programs.

ö Reading Recovery.

ö Lindaman Phenama Sequencing Program.

Religion

ö Offer altar server training at lunch hour as well as confirmation

       classes.

ö Religion 35 students come into classrooms to help students read,

       scribe, etc.

ö At assemblies we say intentions, the Our Father and other traditional

       prayers.

ö Have several celebrations for all occasions i.e. Remembrance Day.

ö Have "Soul Grub" once a month with presentations such as

       teachers' journeys, etc.

ö Offered to all students from grades 7 to 12.  Completion of Religion

       35 is a pre-requisite to graduation from Cyberhigh.  Students have

       the opportunity to participate in a variety of activities ranging from

       working at a soup kitchen to the planning of our graduation Mass.

ö First Communion preparation classes.

ö Sacramental preparation Sunday.

ö Masses, choir, RCIA, Bible Studies, Alter Servers, Youth Groups.

ö Father, Sisters, Parish Council assist in celebrations and masses,

       sacramental preparation provide funding for Bibles, religious icons

       and student religious workshops.
