Stewart McIntyre Appointed Acting Vice Principal at St. Andrew’s School

Posted on

Holy Family Catholic Regional Division (HFCRD) is pleased to announce the appointment of Stewart McIntyre as Acting Vice Principal of St. Andrew’s School in High Prairie. Mr. McIntyre has been a teacher at St. Andrew’s School for ten years and is a natural fit for this role, after the sudden passing of former Vice Principal Robert Nieman in November 2018.

“I thank Stewart for stepping into this leadership role in these difficult circumstances,” said Superintendent Betty Turpin. “Stewart is an experienced teacher who is very familiar with the St. Andrew’s School community. We look forward to working with him in this new capacity.” Stewart was proudly born and raised in Glace Bay, Nova Scotia. During his 10 years at St. Andrew’s School, he has served in a variety of roles primarily in the junior/senior high math and science areas, as well as his current position Athletic Director.

Stewart has a Bachelor of Business Administration Degree from St. Francis Xavier University as well as an Education Degree from the University of Maine. He is passionate about the success of St. Andrew’s students and the well being of its staff. “I’m excited about the opportunity to join the administrative team at St. Andrew’s School and look forward to supporting students, staff, and parents in guiding our students to achieve their goals.”

Stewart enjoys spending time with his wife Amy, who also teaches at St. Andrew’s School, and their children Brooklyn and Ryder. As a family they can be found in hockey arenas, at dance recitals, camping, golfing, and travelling with friends.
