CyberHigh School requires a 1.0 FTE Secondary (Grades 10-12) Math/Science Teacher starting February 1, 2019 with the possibility of extension if the candidate is successful.
The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching in an online environment through Holy Family CyberHigh. The teaching position is located within the Glenmary School building facility in Peace River, AB and the successful candidate must reside within the boundaries of HFCRD. Classroom assignment includes Senior High Math and Science online teaching courses. The successful candidate ideally will have training, knowledge and experience in secondary education and requires a high degree of technical proficiency in the use of educational technology, an understanding of assessment for learning and be eligible to teach in the Province of Alberta. The candidate must be willing to live in a rural Catholic community environment and is a team player, willing to collaborate, communicate and work together with colleagues.
Holy Family CyberHigh and Glenmary School amalgamated during the 2013-2014 school year to create a high quality virtual and flexible learning environment for students throughout the province. We offer programs for students in grade 10-12. The two schools create a warm, inviting Catholic atmosphere for all students. We welcome students of all denominations. Peace River is a scenic, vibrant, urban center in Alberta's northwest and is home to over 6,000 residents.
