St. Stephen’s School located in Valleyview AB requires a Part-Time (0.20 FTE) Generalist Teacher position starting as soon as possible ending June 28, 2019 with the possibility of extension.
The successful candidate will be primarily responsible for assignment coverage and teaching in a wide range of grades and courses in grades K-9 at St. Stephens School. The successful applicant must be willing to work with students in all K-9 grade and subject levels. Ideal candidate must be flexible who can easily function within multiple classroom environments, is confident in classroom management and routines, is positive and dedicated in their role and responsibilities.
Assignment coverage and schedule will be determined with individual candidate where the candidate would be expected to work the full instructional day approximately 4 days per month.
The successful candidate, ideally, will have a knowledge and understanding of inclusive education, First Nation Metis and Inuit students. Have ability and skills to support students who require individualized programs, enrichment, modifications and/or accommodations to their learning. The successful candidate requires proficiency in the use of educational technology, an understanding of assessment for/of learning and be eligible to teach in the Province of Alberta.

The candidate must be willing to work in school rural Catholic community environment. The candidate must be a team player willing to collaborate, communicate, and work together. Preference will be given to candidates of the Catholic faith.
