“Providence” means “God’s care and help” and “prepare for the future” according to Webster’s Dictionary. These definitions accurately describe McLennan’s only school. The school building itself has been renovated and updated to facilitate the latest technology and to create a warm and inviting environment for McLennan’s Kindergarten to Grade 6 students. The staff, students, and parents support Catholic faith and its associated values.

McLennan is a community of roughly 1000 residents located on the shores of the world renowned Kimiwan Lake. Kimiwan Lake is widely recognized as the Bird Capital of Canada and as an internationally acclaimed natural wetland conservation habitat. The lake offers residents and tourists alike a bird's eye view of many of the native species or waterfowl and shorebirds which utilize the lake each year. Newcomers to McLennan are exposed to a wealth of local services, ranging in nature from banking to groceries, gas, hotel, a school and post-secondary campus, automotive, medical/health and restaurant services just to name a few. Complementing the community's uncompromising level of grandeur and appeal is an extensive network of recreational resources and services available to residents year-round. From hockey to golf, to baseball, soccer and tennis residents keep active year round.
