Additional Information:

3 Full-Time (1.00 F.T.E.) Success Coaches and 1 Part-Time (0.5 F.T.E.) Success Coach are
required commencing as soon as possible and continuing until March 31, 2020 with the possibility of
future contracts for April, 2020 to March 31, 2021. These positions are located in Grimshaw, Alberta.
Duties:
 Develop and deliver developmentally appropriate, evidence based programming in large and
small group work in school setting with a focus on increasing knowledge, building skills and
fostering abilities that enable others to better their own mental health and wellness.
 Work collaboratively with other professionals, agencies, and parents to promote positive
mental health and well-being in the community.
 Help identify and facilitate access for individuals who need referral to specialized addiction
and mental health services.
 Build and maintain strong relationships with children, youth and families and act as a “go to”
mental health subject matter experts for students, staff and community partners.
Requirements:
 A related post-secondary degree or diploma in social sciences, or relevant courses and
experience.
 At least 2 years working experience in addiction and mental health or health/human services
related role, working with youth and families.
 Skill and knowledge of facilitation, positive communication, and creative thinking.
 Familiar with the developmental, educational, emotional, social and recreational needs of
children, youth and families.
 A current Criminal Record Check and a current Child & Family Services Authority Intervention
Record Check must be provided at time of application.
Additional Qualifications:
 A valid driver’s license
 Capable of maintaining program statistics for purposes of evaluation and assisting in
evaluating the effectiveness of programs
 Knowledge of Peace River and the resources available
 Experience working with Métis and/or Aboriginal communities
