Additional Information:

One Full-Time (1.00 f.t.e.) Temporary Success Coach is required commencing August 28, 2019 and
continuing until August 31, 2020 with the possibility of an extension. This position is located in Peace River.


Duties:
 Develop and deliver developmentally appropriate, evidence based programming in large and small
group work in school setting with a focus on increasing knowledge, building skills and fostering abilities that enable others to better their own mental health and wellness.
 Work collaboratively with other professionals, agencies, and parents to promote positive mental health and well-being in the community.
 Help identify and facilitate access for individuals who need referral to specialized addiction and mental health services.
 Build and maintain strong relationships with children, youth and families and act as a “go to” mental
health subject matter experts for students, staff and community partners.


Requirements:
 A post-secondary degree or diploma in psychology, social work, or relevant related coursework.
 Experience in addiction and mental health or health/human services related role, working with youth and families.
 Skill and knowledge of facilitation, positive communication, and creative thinking.
 Familiar with the developmental, educational, emotional, social and recreational needs of children,
youth and families.
 A current Criminal Record Check and Child & Family Services Intervention Record Check must be
provided at time of application.
Additional Qualifications:
 A valid driver’s license
 Capable of maintaining program statistics for purposes of evaluation and assisting in evaluating the
effectiveness of programs
 Knowledge of Peace River and the resources available
 Experience working with Métis and/or Aboriginal communities
