St. Andrews School requires a 1.0 F.T.E. Senior High Biology Teacher and Generalist starting February 1, 2020 or 2-3 weeks earlier if possible. This is currently a temporary one year position.
Position will remain open until be open until October 23rd, 2019 or until a suitable candidate is found.
The position requires the successful candidate to teach high school Biology, Secondary Options, PE/Health and possibly other courses within the candidate's skill set.
The successful candidate ideally will have capacity, training, knowledge and experience in secondary science, working with First Nation, Metis & Inuit students, and social and emotional development of children. The successful candidate requires proficiency in the use of educational technology, an understanding of assessment for learning and be eligible to teach in the Province of Alberta. The candidate must be willing to be working in a rural Catholic community environment who is a team player willing to collaborate, communicate and work together.
